Chris Adamson (11668km): The wind was HEAPS lighter today - I was only fully cooked from morning until late afternoon on the 5.8, initially on the Manta 59, and later on the 49. Probably 20 - 25 knots all day. The 49 is officially the best board I have ever ridden - that little stick rocks! Chop, what chop? For anyone who has even struggled with choppy water, I have one piece of advice; get one of these little pencils. Problem solved. Three more sailing days until we have to leave the greatest place on Earth. Did I mention I love it here?! | ||||||||||||||||||
Craig Mann (896km): Thankfully the breeze backed off to day so I could hold down the 5.8. A sail I have used only once in Perth that boasts the title of third windiest city in the world. Conditions were perfect sunny and a steady 20 to 30 knot gusts all day. Ado and my day started just after lunch with a 45 minute photo shoot from a chopper which included some amateur video footage. I am sure we will post some shots when we work out the technology. I was wrecked by the end thanks to a nasty mauling in the waves at Camp one late in the session. That's four maulings in the same spot, I just need to get better. Tomorrow is a full on slalom practice for the Maui Race series; starts, full course, the lot. If there is a better place in the world you have died and gone to heaven. |
