Lyn (9418km): Took 107 minutes to do 26 kms so there was a lot of standing up. Herb checked the obs for the beaches and reckons they would have been lucky to see max of 12 knots, yet up here on dam which is about 60 km away we get a thermal enhancement which gives good planing gusts. Good to see Jill and Clem come down for a session. Most of my session was on Onboard Fatboy with Loft 02 5.9m.
Herby (12064km): Most of my session was on Lyn's new Exocet SCross and my Loft 02 6.6. Magnificent weather and really cruising when suddenly the boom broke...Luckilly straight upwind from rigging area and after a while managed to arrange things so I could sail most of the way back. (Lucky no scratches on board or sail) My Tracks
Hoppybob (966km): Tiga 135L Free-x 8.1 NP Wind light at start, picked up later....as usual, should have had the Screamer and 6.6 or 7 M....Too old to learn from past experiences. Great day, good company. |
