Red (8982km): Weird day - gusty but there was nothing behind the gusts. Started on the Sonic 85 but later changed to the JP114 to try to work through the lulls.

Marcus Karlen (452km): Started on the 5.5 which was good on the gusts. The problem was to get one that lasted for more than 10 secs after I got in the straps. Everybody was packing up and I rigged the 7.7. The tide was amazingly low so the bay was a billiard. The wind swang a tad to the west and was enough to keep me on the plane. Very smooth sunset sailing for about an hour until a big clump of weed roped the fin.......crashhhh!!!. No injuries and no broken gear, despite seeing Brett earlier in the afernoon. Another half an hour of smooth sailing and I went home. Sweet. Hypersonic 105, overdrive 5.5 at first, Code red 7.7 later. Select weed 30 | ||||||||||||||||||
