First sail in 6 years. What a blast despite the wind being a gusty easterly.

Lucky Bay was probably not the best location given the wind direction but I had expected it to move a bit more southerly.

The water was pretty flat though and when the gusts came it was worth it.

Hi all, thanks for the supportive comments.

It is nice after joining the WOWDAW team a fair few months ago to finally post some speeds.

Borgy, I was quite surprised to see how I finished up. As I said to you on shore, I'd seen a 23 on the GPS and figured that was about it for me (it was really hard to feel just how fast things were because the wind was so on/off and whenever the gusts hit it always seemed as if you were really flying)

Of course, now I've had a taste I can't wait to get back out there and push the pb's some more. With the wind so patchy I was afraid to head too far downwind in case I couldn't sail it back. Hopefully next sail will have more consistent winds so I can sail on a broad reach to max the speed (knowing I can get back upwind when I need to)
