Ahhhhhhhhhh.....Yamba, behind the wall

 

Smooth water. locked in. 2km+ run, about to jybe...BANG...hit a rock & snapped fin clean out on a rock Yell 

 (Edit: Not a rock - stress fracture and just touched the sand at end of run. There were no marks on fin)

Thanks to Helmut who sailed back & got spare fin & screwdriver

Also met Jason from Brisvegas with his sailing lady.

 

A Nm PB...yeeehaaaaa. Smile

Post tracks etc later. 18 - 22knts N/E. Nicely lit on 7.0 Maui Titan with 38 Maui (now dead) then 44 Maui.

Hi Pete, good to see the NM PB. Bad luck about the fin, but better than breaking anything else. It must  be nice to do some long runs.

 

You are affecting mine and Jeff's dominance of the NSW teams, and it is only two days in Cool. If any other NSW teams keep posting, we are toast!

Hope you get decent weather up there Peter. Its been pretty ordinary down here. Ahh summer, gotta love it, grey sky, drizzle, and bugger all wind.

 

Never sailed at Yamba. Your description makes it sound pretty good, besides the rocks.

Well done on the PB Pete, If you where going to get a PB on Nm Yamba is the place to do it .

Where the hell did you find a rock at Yamba - how close to the break wall where you?
