Viganj, HR, kind of frustrating day for me. Wind started early in the afternoon and forecast was very promising, solid 20 kts at least so I entered the water with smaller combo, Is 86 , NP MKII 6.7 but wind strenght was less than anticipated looking from shore, some 15-17 kts. To make it worse it blew in stripes and that made sailing very annoying. After that it picked up a little but with strange holes, varying from 5-20 kts. I stayed almost all the time on small combo hoping for wind to pick up, but it really never happened. Also it was strong on one part of the channel, closer to Viganj and weaker near Korcula.

So I usually started planning close to Viganj, heading upwind and then slogging back from Korcula downwind aaargh ..

Later I took a Sonic 125 with MKII 6.7 and made a few relaxing runs.

I thought maybe I am imagining it all but one local sailor said that it is just this kind of unstable northerly wind. Yeah, I also broke my boom, but luckily the other side stayed in tack so I was able to sail back.

Forecast is also very good for tommorow so we'll see.

I can repeat what Marin wrote - just that I entered with big enugh equipment: JP Slalom 82, NP Slalom 8,6. But, even that was not enough. Add to unstabile wind hunderts of motor boats (it's over, they took the see away from us! :-((( ), and you get the picture...

Very strange wind, very unstable, and it looked much stronger from shore. But anyway, it was nice, warm, sunny... ;)
