JP 110xcite - loft 02 6.6 - GS40 fin

Great day with my new sail Very happy, but still sorting out my setup-  wind was up and down -sail was very stable and breathed amazingly well in the big gusts - never felt overpowered.

Another sunny NE out on the bay, until a nearby storm killed the wind. Great day out with Dave and Troy.

Kyeemagh, NSW, AU  16-29knts NNE.

F2 SX Med, RSS mkIII 7.8m, JP Slalom III 36cm fin.

Wind was on, then off, then on, tbhen off again.  Should have taken out the 6.7 and would have had a much better sail.  In the gusts the 7.8m was too much of a handful for any decent speeds.  Maybe next week...

Larko (3629km):

Great day, got out early as you could see the thunderheads brewing. Lake Dangerous was fairly consistent for a change. Pretty well lit on a 6.7. Had some nice bearaways and decent chop as well upwind. Really enjoyed today.

After it seemed the the thunder cells had passed was going back out with a JP VI 65 but the wind died again. Maybe tomorrow??

Heat 3 of the NSW winsurfing series. Two races in some pretty average NE winds. In the first race I had a blinder of a start on port tack where the pin end was clearly advantaged. Great start to the weekend.

Wrong sail, wrong fin for the conditions. 2 races, not great result. Didn't finish the second race, couldn't make the top mark for being underpowered. Very frustrating

Heat 3 Lake Maq - the Slips. Lovely day for sitting on ya ass doing FA! The wind tried to come in and kinda did. Very hard sailing very hard work and really crap results!

Hi Dave,

what colour is your Loft 02 6.6? I had the same type of sail up today down there. Mines a bit boring black and white in colour but it goes well.

It was great to be on the bay today.

Hi Karl - Mike told me he spotted you out there today.

Its Dark Red With Black and white highlights. regardless of the colours I'd have to agree with you they go great. Kept the one setting all arvo and it was good for the 15-25 wind.

Hi Karl - you were looking really comfortable out there today. Love those O2s!

Did you park in the northern carpark? How did you find the access paths?

Well Done guys!!

I gotta get to know some of you guys. I probably saw alot of you today. I was out on a orange JP FSW 92L and a light blue/grey NP Hellcat 6.2. I am in the Double Demerit Team. I took off from the new car park with Karl. I spoke to a few guys on the beach there, but none with GPS... you guys must be the ones at the top corner??? I started heading up there, but the wind died off so I headed back. Came back up and I was going to head up there, but it did not kick in hard enough for a good speed, so I did not bother. Then it finally kicked in about 10 minutes before I had to head in to get somewhere... will look out for you guys next time.

Cheers,

Adrian

Hi Adrian, I guess I saw you up at the top end of the bay - Orange FSW / blue hellcat. I was on a fluoro yellow Loft switchblade.

Andrew - it would have been great to catch up. Did you head off from South Ramp? The 8.5 bas brilliant (in the lulls...). I had decided to come in and change down, but the wind switched off, so I bailed.

Yeah the 02 sail itself was great today. No issues at all. It was the right size too for once.

I think I saw you out there Dave. There was a red and black 02 that looked new. I was thinking to myself what a sharp looking sail that is.

Today is looking good.

Michael, yeah it would have bren good to catch up. Haven't sailed with you in a while. Unfortunatelt I had some chores to do round the house and so could only get down for the late one. This also meant I had to launch from further south because by the time I got there parking spots were at a premium. That's Kyemagh for you...

Anyway, Alpha 500 times aside, I had a great sail!!

New personal best (prior 30.1), so happy improving !

Also bumped into a few of you guys out there... I think I said G'day to Adrian or Andrew and Mike on his 8.5.

I was also having some great gybes, practicing my lay-downs ! Pulling one of those off is nearly as much fun as hitting 30kts !

Might pay to upload your file to KA72 to check that Alpha

Put file (upload) to ka72.com

Either post direct from there to here, or get the data and edit your posting if there is a discrepancy.

Great first post anyway. Congrats. Smile

Oops. Edit. bit late but same info

If you post scores from GPSR program correct score for Alpha 500 racing is @500, on picture you post here was marked 500m insted of @500, difference: 500m is averege speed on 500m course and @500 is average speed on 500m course with jibe ( on track display looks like letter  U ). GPSR program also mark selected score in green color on track display, on upper picture you can see your 500m downwind is in green color. Cool

I hope I helped you and very good score for freeride equipment !
