Falcon 90, overdrive 6.0, C3 venom 30. Lyttelton harbour, Solid 20 knots. Nice and lumpy. Good to try this combo out in these conditions.

Greenpark huts, Dinks speed strip.

NE 25-35kts     SP7 46cm, Maui TR4 5.9, Mykz 250 fin.

There is enough water to sail Greenpark. It's at least up to the knees and didn't blow away too much as the wind increased.

Windy spot,.... the harbour showed about 22kt max and we had a good 35kts for a while so it gets funnelled real well out of Gebbies Valley.

It's still pretty shallow and you need a good fin cos it's choppy as hell when it gets windier (like sailing on a corrugated iron roof).

You also need a weight jacket to keep the whole lot in the water.

Weight jacket lifted my speed about 3 kts.

Had 36.58 on the dial. The brutal software fixed that tho'.

Tried bigger boards but terrible in the chop. I reckon my 41.5 Sp5 will be the story for this place.

Good place for your Slingshot, Neil as the fast part is in about 40cm of water. You don't want a long fin.

It may be a 40kt spot when we get the hang of the place.

A fun and interesting session.

Mike downloading for Rob.

Greenpark huts....

NE 25-35 kts       Hey Rob, one more run and you would have done PB for the average. These 5 runs here include a 20.27 10sec.......bummer!

Your best run was near the rigging area. Best mile was on the Selwyn huts run and best 500 metre there was 32.46.....not too bad

You were doing 1800-2300 metre runs on the Selwyn Huts run but it was dead square and a lot of it even at 85 degrees to the wind, so

slightly upwind......not the spot to go fast.

PS.....its not all that broad and I was at a max 115 deg off the wind today.

We can get way more broad but we'll need to make sure there is no furniture to hit down that part of the run.

Poo point to Cass Bay......the new mile spot

Often wondered about that as the first part after the gybe at poo pt is always very flat and you can get nice and broad.....never have

carried on downwind far enough.
