Best wind on dam for some time.      6.6m Loft 02 and 120l S/Cross

Well, better than yesterday for sure. Rigged a 7.0 and not long on the water a squall came through and was great fun, wind and heavy rain. Then stuff all for a bit then another squall, then nothing. Got some waddling practice, the cloud cleared and the wind came in at a steady 18+ kts. Should have rigged the smaller gear but I was buggered. Nice to sail in warm clear water.

Pretty happy with session, probably should have used 6.6m....we had about an hour and then came in for lunch.     After lunch we both felt a little lethargic and possible showers around  so we packed up and home at 2pm.     5.9m Loft 02 aand 105l Screamer.

First sail since the 7th of Nov last year. I rock up and nice wind so took a couple of photos then rigged up, by then there was a fair old rain squall, it was blowing it's boobies off. No worries I was pumped and expecting world records, bloody hell it was blowing, I shat myself and hung on for dear life, one stage I was a nano second from going over the front, didn't know where how or what I was doing, it's all a blur. Anyway put up with that for no time, dropped into the water and went back with tail between legs, arms were pumped right up and fingers so sore, must have had the death grip, bloody big girls blouse. When the wind dropped I headed off again but it was then poop, headed in, did the walk of shame and then stood it the rain, woopie. For those in WA rain is the wet stuff that falls from the sky too often here and not enough there. Half of my record distance was dredging or walking. Had 31.3 on dial but couldn't hold it long enough I guess. But hey, so happy to get wet and catch up with some of the Mob Cool

Forecast look good for today but was not to be. Sailed a holliways with Rowdy, Simmo And FireBob, wind was very on and off,

one rain squall brought us wind with gusts up to 25kts but the rest of the day was about 10 to 15.

Used Iso 96 with 39 superfast and then CA 50 for the squall.

Hi Mineral,   You rigged there but there was not much water then.    Also if you look closely you can just about see your van site. (in my pic)

Great to see some wind up your way guys.

Firie,

Just remember that's  3 more k's than you had before.  I feel for you knowing how hard it is after such a long break - that arm pump is not a nice thing at all. Great photo sequence of kel doing the handle bar shuffle too (that is if he was actually anywhere near his board)

PS - I swear those shots were taken in Yeppoon looking at the water state (colour and lumpiness).
