ARooBar, Chinook, WA, US

Naish 2010 Stealth 5.2, Carbon Art 44, Curtis/Roo SpeedFire 20

Was Billy no mates today at ARooBar, seems no one wants to speedsail in winter here...had to the place to myself for the third time in a month. Huey played silly buggers as usual, started south and progressively went west over the hour before the tide shut down play for the day.  Sailed all legs of the sandbar, in both directions....bizare day! The sandbar moved over the winter and it's shallower than it used to be.  Had sun, then rain, then squalls, then sun with 4 degree water and 8 degree air....toasty. Looks like Huey wants to play again this weekend and next week...hope the new sails and fins arrive by then. I ran the Speedfire 20 for the first time today, a little beauty. Loads of grunt and flys the tail as soon as it loads up. Got some thicker ones coming to test on the tighter courses.

Gee you're keen [pun intended] sailing winter.  Nothing like a 40knot 2 sec for your first post - nice work.

Thanks for the warm welcome, certainly warmer than the water and air temp!  Have to say I never felt cold but I'm sure I looked like I had a rubber fetish as I was dressed head to toe in neoprene with just my eyes visible.  Hopefully there's a lot more speed to come and I can con a few more sailors out and make it a true team challenge.
