Rushed over to the lake straight from work to find the wind square onto the course which was a real shame as it was pretty windy and with a better angle I was hoping that I could have been in with a shot of hitting my first '40' - ah well, next time eh !

Despite the angle not being spot on, the sun was out, the water down the wall was real flat, I sailed till the sun went down and every time I sail my iSonic I like it even more.

The forecast is currently looking good for tomorow evening so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Sunny, warm and windy WK.

Session 1300-1800hrs, with a one hour walk of shame up the farside wall mid afternoon in winds gusting 25-45kts, and 2-3foot chop, talk about being happy slapped.

Breach of wall at 11:30 for an hour !!

WInd pretty much bang on 90 degrees to the wall, with a slight bias to starboard later on in the afternoon.

Great to sail again and put some faces to names - Alastair and Martyn, a real pleasure meeting you guys, and thanks for the techmical assistance Alastair and Ian R.

Now then ..  on to the session..

First time out with the 5.2, over downhauled for the first hour, nigh on impossible to sheet in let alone attempt any bear offs. Eased the downhaul by 3cms or thereabouts,  the gusts then felt less agressive and a comfortable stance could be maintained, sort of  half sheeted in.

One such attempt whilst delivering the power to the fin almost a 90 degree bear off saw board rig and rider get airbourne, landing about 4m down wind, fortunately the KA 21 Ays bit hard on landing, and kept me going straight. 

Ok no more on the edge bear offs thereafter. 

Pretty awesome watching the guys go full tilt into the chop 2/3rds down the wall.

Bout time I got my lazy arse in gear and slap the weight jacket on..... one day :)
