Well we had a great forecast for wind today with a nice little low coming up from the south. I was at the beach at 8am to try and catch the wind and best tide. Unfortunately the wind did not come through till about 10am and then the tide was coming in. The wind was not as strong as forecast but i was determined to use the little board. (Would have been better on 7m and bigger slalom board) Still was good fun at times but underpowered most of the time and could not really find a powerful gust.... One day it will deliver here!!

Shame as it looks as this is the only day I will be able to sail on my week and a half holiday. Anyway was great to get my mum out sailing again today and she really enjoyed it, Her fitness is still excellent and she should be sailing well into her 70's.. Top stuff.

For reference you can sail here right through the tide on a minimal swell up till about 3/4 up.

After first run i thought it would an ok day but no no no no. Fitness is a mile out for these conditions very testing very gusty and just not up to the job i'm afraid. Quite a strange feeling really normally go faster than the first run but that was it just to tired and unfit.

And to top it all we lost a very characteristic sportsman in another field of sport Motogp.

Didnt find it at all easy today, there was not much room for a decent run either so didnt stay out too long.
