Wind was to strong for me with my 5.6 . One real run, who was really short.
First time with the SX, board accelerated realy fast; low run with higher max. (36,06/32,63)

Next time better with less wind. :)

Wind ZZW.

Windy day at Horst.

I used the concept 5.0. Just like it's bigger brother, the Concept 5.8 it's soft in the hands, but the smaller sail in my opinion is more suited for hardcore speedsailing alongside a bank as you need the apparent wind to compensate for the bit more nervous nature of this size. The 5.8 is very easy to set and it litterally adjusts itself to the lulls and gusts.

The 5.0 size benefits more from a sort of steady state at super hgh speeds, at least that's my first impression . When going fast enough in the stronger gusts I could feel the sail start to work and it was super pleasant on the hands, but to get there was difficult to do. I wanted to stick to it regardless the outcome and finetune it for a trip to a hard-core speedcourse. I do understand why the sail goes so well at a spot like SP and can't wait to test it in conditions it's meant for. I am also very interested to lend it out to John Overmeer as to me it feels as if light weight guys could use it perfectly as open water speed sail. Drag seems to be very low and I would love to learn more about the nature of the sail in the hands of a lightweight.

On the beach we heard about the mind blowing speeds in West Kirby. Great stuff guys!!

Nasty gusts and chop didn't made this an easy session.

But succeeded where I failed to reach a 70+ km/h average last year due to 2 periods of injuries.
