4736 days ago A play at the Pit for a change with a few of the crew who hadn,t be seen for a long time Lots of sailors out, with a few causing the normal issues like Not looking, which way am i sailing again and the best one...watch this trick that i can do right in front of you. Well done Dan for missing the D$%K Head wave sailor who did the forward in front of him.
Felt good to get some decient TOW with out the foot falling off, but the jybes and the board control are still very rough. Struggled for speed too but lots appeared to have the same issue.

4736 days ago Busy day at the Pit got a bit risky at times.Used the RS6 5.4 all day. A bit light on for drive out of the corners but fairly efficient off the wind. Used the Torquay 49 with Lessacher 22 early but lacked float & grip. The old Gillis 55 & TM26 worked fine for most of the day till it got too light.

4736 days ago 2 categories Nice to get some wind but the best of it came early on a very high tide. Arrived at 8am. Drove in through water with the tide rushing in. Realised there would be no bank to sail anyhow to went home. Came back at 10.30 to find 25 knots plus WSW. Rigged 2012 5m Koncept and had a few runs on IS87 with TM26. Best peak in first run and every run slower as wind eased off. Came back to rig 5.8m but while rigging saw wind had eased even more so rigged 6.6m as well!
When I had finished it seemed OK for 5.8m again so started a 1 hour. 25 mins in feeling very uncomfortable with fin and sail. Stopped to trim. no good. Bit the bullet and rerigged sail on another mast and whacked in Select 34 slalom fin. Sail instantly felt MUCH better and I was powering upwind. 3 knots slower downwind but felt quicker overall on the circuit so started another 1 hour. Wind died at the end for last 15 mins but it was still the best one. Came straight in and switched to IS111 with 2012 6.6m and KA 37cm slalom fin. This combo hit the sweet spot and I was just as quick downwind as on the IS87 and 5.8m and faster upwind again, until half an hour late the wind started to drop more to the point where I was barely planning out of Gybes and stuggling to stay on the plane at times. Finished the 1 hour but it was slower.
A young mate was keen to try the Starboard Gemini Tandem so we plugged my 5.8m and 6/6m into it and played for another hour or so. The wind filled in a bit and we were planning through out Gybes every time! Lots of fun!
Good to see Shelby and Stuart back again and Kato flogging his body for the team! Mal was pulling a few very quick runs and Brad was chasing my down on the one hour runs. Great fun!

4736 days ago Pt Walter, powered up early on with the 7.5 Koncept SL75 40fin, upwind jaunt to YC, and back for some more playing chicken with the stink boats and the SAS rib that was busting out a NM. Caught up with the friendly local crew once again, nice!
