Old Salty (1642km): Area 45, Mahers Landing, VIC, AU Wind swung S, SW, WSW all day 12 - 15 kts. Sailed by myself at low tide and then with Naz after 2 pm. Xcite 120, Tush 7.5 and Venom C3 40cm Banks never really lined up at low tide but on a S/SW I sailed deeper into the Inlet than I had before. Interesting on High tide the first 200 mtrs was flat and the water over the sand banks and inbetween was choppy! On the way home dropped into the Angling Club to see the two DJ boys flying out the back

Naz (2410km): Area 45, Mahers Landing, VIC, AU rocket145, 7.0kult, 48fin Full tide. Fun in the squalls that came through, the buoy I was aiming for disappeared in the rain. Smooth in the channel, choppy once past the bars. Unable to push any harder due to the chop. | ||||||||||||||||||
DazzaJ (3270km): Inverloch, VIC, AU Light wind (10-15knots), late arvo, high water sail with brother Dean. Had a look at the Angling club - car park was packed to the brim - launched at the rotunda. Took off back to the (underwater) speed strip, but found the best runs back at the channel. http://www.ka72.com/viewge.aspx?fid=23133&tid=0 Perfect gear setup for the conditions - 25 knots on a wide board over chop was plenty for me - although the board lifted at one stage at peak speed resulting in the worse stack that I reckon I've had for years!!! iSonic 117 wide, 7.5m NCX Severne, 44cm Venom |
