Swan Bay, VIC, AU

15 - 20kts N, NE

FX Med 105, Koncept 5.8, Lessacher Weedie

Drift, Simmo, Simmon, Robbie, Ant, Richie, Ash, Ado, Jacques and a few other shady westerners!

Good road trip but what was Red's form pulling out - Soft, could not handle the soy latte group and we had to put up with Princess Jacques.  Complaining that he had sand in his Van!!!

Good time was had by all, one smooth as velvet run with ANT.  One huge dismount in front of Drift but I really felt comfortable on the 105.  Always do at Swan Bay/Point Henry - think it is running the weedie.  Should have come in after the fiorst hour and rigged the 6.6 - Oh well.

Swan Bay, VIC, AU, Starboard S-Type 104, Neil Pryde RS Slalom 5.7, Drake 28 (Kinda Weedy). Interesting day's sailing in 3 to 5 feet of water. Never really comitted to a full boar bear away blast due to the shallow nature of the lake. Not really sure i'd go back here. Might have more peace of mind (relaxed sailing) if the water is a bit deeper. Nice to see some IWC members there.

LOCATION: SWAN BAY

WIND: N- 15-20KTS

GEAR:  CA FR77- MAKANI 33cm WEEDIE, KA KONCEPT 6.4

DETAILS:  Great day down the Bay!....its a shame that Red had prioritised work over our visit but thats the sort of divisive behavour you'd expect from him.

Nice wind and long runs early, although it started to get a bit shallow in places.  I think the best strategy was not to think too hard about just how little water there was underneath your feet.

Watched the storm building up over the back and got off the water about 3.30- ish.  Home is time for clocking up some brownie point so it was a good day all round!.

Should have gone to Swan BayCry

Made the best of the gusty wind. 20knts to zero to 20knts, really powered up with speed increasing, then no wind. Tricky but still better than sitting at home.

Floated with the Jelly Fish at one stage, felt a bit itchy later on.

Fanatic Cross 109, 6.1 Zen, 34 fin.

I washed my wetsuit booties out twice last night, and this morning when I turned them upside down, more mud came out.....!

Antoine... 3-5 feet of water is plenty deep enough! The fins are only 30cm!

As for the mud.. it's good for your complexion.. Jacques and I are both over 70 years of age.. hard to believe, I know!
