Lyttelton Harbour, NZ

Nice day on the water. It's my 47th birthday today and what better way to celebrate than with a couple of PBs? It was trucking windy and I was well powered up on the 5.8. Water on the harbour was a lot rougher that the first time I sailed it, much more Queens Beach like (and I've yet to see it with an outgoing tide). There are a few flat spots under the cliffs on the other side however, which are good for going fast. I had hoped also to improve alpha time and have done it by a tiny margin

Not a bad afternoon on the water at all. Indian restaurant tonight!

Hey Ian, saw a bloke with a Chris Lockwood hat on and thought "that has to be an Aussie".

This is how the harbour is normally. We haven't seem much of it this summer.

Outgoing tide is great fun, like today but usually good ramps. The harbours not much of a speedy spot though, generally too rough.

Lake Clearwater Monday for that!

Thinking about monday.. Where do you get forecasts for the lake from?

Dan .the 5.8 was ok if a bit "exciting" at times.
