Fun day out, great turn out ->> 8-13 knots, light wind gear, started with a 44cm fin and finished with a 42cm fin (sadly I didn't change fins)>>>>>> new technique I found that really works getting over the shallow sand spits >>>>>> scream at the top of your voice all the way through the spits >> and you won't coma a croppa!!! Yell- It seemed to work today.. (to refine this technique - I think I'll also close my eyes next time)

Xcite 120 Gaastra 8.5 Super Sport 46 at high tide and select 40 as tide dropped

NW, W, WSW 10 - 12 kts

Fastest times with Select but wind was increasing then also.

Pete, Mick, Richie, Darren, Wendy  and the Worners

Fun afternoon despite the temp(good training for BMC)  Got plaining with big gear on flatish water.  Started Gybe practice.  Got turns going really well - need to remember to lean inboard and bend the knees.

Wally to 13knots, played in the surf till the wind swung SW.

rocket 145, 7.0 Kult, Manaki 33 weed.

The weedie was good, in that it gave confidence when the tide started to drop, but I had a few spinouts and never felt totally comfortable pushing against it; I could feel it squish, then push back. Downwind it wasn't an issue. Tracked pretty well when I wanted to go upwind allowing rail pressure. Think the 38 weedie would have taken the sail & board size better, just didn't think to put it in. Mostly I was sailing with just front foot pressure.

Managed to find a rock in the Inlet, Go figure??? No damage to fin or board. Could not find it when I stopped for a look. AmazedLaughing We better start to worry though, who knows how many there will be in 10 years time. Sounds like a good reason for a sub-committee to engage local planning and scientists from CSIRO. Tackle the weed growth up near the pipe at the same time. Has to be related...

LOCATION:  ANGLING CLUB

WIND: W < 10 KTS SHIFTING SW- 10-12 KTS

GEAR:  Starboard SUPer 12'6, KA KOYOTE 8.2

DETAILS:  Great turnout.

Spent the morning riding the swell at the Inlet mouth.  Some nice sets were coming through and the length of the board meant that I could pick up the smallest of ripples.  Wind died around lunchtime but it built up on an approaching rain front.  Decided to go for a 1 hour and Nautical Mile so I extended the run down to the Cape Liptrap Park Headland and then back via the out channel.  DId three laps of this course maintaining a continuous speed.

Grreat to see 9 Busters on the water.and awesome to see the 2 Worner boys getting amongst the top speeds!

That was fun. I'm in love with that 117, very sexy looking board. Mel reminded me of the next gas bill due next week.Cry

Richie, I've found big sheets of contact hold busted arsed sails together real well, you can even get it with flowers, ponies and rainbows in the print.Laughing

Fairly close on the speeds etc. all round. Wish I had made the trip down. Dazza - how do you find the NCX? I had one on loan from the zu this weekend but never got to try it.

Hey Ev, love the NCX's >>>> I have two - 6m and 7.5m. Wend tried the 6 on the day and she also loved it. I reckon I'll be chatting to Paul for a good deal on a 5.5m. I also have a Reflex III 5.6 - great 'straight line' sail, but the cams are a dog to pop on a jibe. Comparably, the NCX's take 2 seconds to rig.

Cheers Darren! Only thing that worries me is all the monofilm. But that aside it seems like a good choice. Great reviews online and in the mags also. Appreciate the thumbs up. Are you using them on the Severne masts?. Thanks.

Pb centralk again.  Well done Josh and Joel.  Great to see those numbers climb.  Joshua - great distance and nautical mile pb.  Joel it was great to see you think about the conditions and change down to a setup that matched the wind.  The Busters ROCKCool
