Great fun dragging with Sean - wind light 5 to 15 but a few 18 knot gusts. The big sail made it more fun than it would otherwise have been - it handled the gusts really well.

Peel Inlet, WA, AU (Cobblers) F111. K6.4, 40CF

A lovely day for a drive to Mandurah and a sail on the estuary. I can't say the same for the drive home. Wish I'd left the GPS switched on to record how slow it was. Took 1 hour to drive down this morning and two hours to drive home!

Had a really fun sail, my first at Cobblers. It felt so good that after getting my bearings I decided to just keep on going to the other side. Had a look for the long absent Yoyo but he was nowhere to be found, so I went back to Cobblers. Much windier over the other side but I didn't want to risk any accidents so I played it safe and didn't risk any bear aways (being unaware of the excellent Mandurah Mob Rescue Service). By the time I got back the breeze had dropped to 10 knots and it took me 45 minutes to tack back to the carpark. Pity. I still had plenty of energy left and would have liked to have kept going if the wind had warranted it.

Eventually Yoyo reappeared courtesy of Crasher's jetski.

Nice to meet Tomski and Yoyo and catch up with Hardie, Crasher and STROPPO>

Wind, sunshine, a PB and two other top 5 results (Hr, NM). Pretty happy LaughingLaughingLaughing

Fantastic Anita, only wished I'd been there to see it, you've been threatening to do that for a while now.

Glad you enjoyed Cobblers, it can be a lot of fun in those conditions, as long as you miss the rocks!!!!!

Oh yes, I had forgotten I had a goal of 50km. That would have been easy yesterday if the wind had held up a bit longer (or if I'd done less exploring before getting to Cobblers and gotten on the water earlier).
