4566 days ago 1 categories new PR , I was not really ready for a day like this . I was in holland to train with the windsurfteam and to visit my parents but the forcast was good for some speed so I bought my 6.3 as the forcast did not look that great . Arriving to the brace the wind was strong already and well 6.3 was the only sail I had so thats it , even fogot my cams and borrowed some from tjitse , thanks tjitse. Then for a nautical mile walk in the mud and straight on the water . 6.3 was very big and the 5.6 might have been better. but very happy with the proformance of my 6.3 Loft racing blade with the team edition skinny and the starboard SpeedSpecial 44. Would never think to get a PR with 6.3!!
Jurjen Well done good speeds!!

4566 days ago Yesterday and today i heard a lot of people wanted to go the brace. Expected a lot of speedsurfers and when we arrived i never saw it so crowdy. The Brace is not an easy spot and you need to be confident to enter the course, even after all my high wind sessions from last years i was not confident today, maybe it was because of my stupid crash from last week. Today i had many spin outs, i saw in the middle of the session that parts from my finbox were broken out and the finbox was not fixed in the board. Probably i broke it when i wanted to jump on my board in 10cm water. After i heard Benjamin broke his wrist and Pat told me this in detail i was not in the mood anymore. Dennis also made a crash after i was walking back to the car and i hope his shoulder is not broken or badly injured. Hope Benajmin and Dennis will recover soon.
I'm an addicted speedsurfer and everybody noticed the speeds went up big time the last months, the level is really high and there are so many fast guys now that everybody has to take more risk to compete as good as possible against each other. Offcourse this is good as we all will go faster and faster, but its also getting more dangerous now. Normally i would be super happy with these average speeds on dutch waters and its even my number 8 session ever, but Jurjen prooved he is just the fastest man in the world right now and Ben prooved he is able to do the same as he was even sailing with a 6,3 (respect). Also the guys on Da Curve sailed very well and i saw very fast sessions from Gauke and Johnny.

4566 days ago Selective day: strong winds, broad course, many speedies, many crashes and injuries. I have been watching the really fast guys today. Was fun.
