A nice short session at the Barrington Beach from 4:00 to 5:15, a fresh breeze from the south, southeast in the low to mid twenties, a 6.5 Naish (2000 vintage) no-cam Edge on a Starboard Carve 135 and a stock fin, mast a NP 460 100% carbon, a short extension to 474 and a 194 Chinook aluminum boom....rigged perfectly! Went out and was going fast in the chop and stayed going fast until I had to come in and go to a 6:00 dinner and a special tasting of Asian offerings from the new sous-chef at the frickin' country club. The food was excellent, however, the portions properly sized, and the table filled of pleasant folks. Imagine, a table of eight at the frickin' country club and not a Republican nor a Mitt mutt in the group! But it is Rhode Island, after all.
