Lake Tinaroo, QLD, AU   A bit late getting to dam today and when I arrived there was good wind with Freddy and Billy really honking.    By the time I had rigged the wind had dropped back to the usual Tinaroo breeze and the boys had retired to their respective eskys.     Anyway I had nearly and hour and it was sure good to be back  on water.    JP Slalom 78 and 7.0m Package tape.

Grrrrr... I think the 7.8 is cursed 'cause everytime I use it I end up f@#king cursing for more wind.  Rookie error and derigged the 8.6 for the 7.8 as it appeared a bit stronger than yesterday.  Never fully powered up and used a lot of energy just keeping it on the plane.  Hard work for nearly 2 hours of sailing.

There's always tomorrow.............

Decided to head up to the dam with the family to give the lads a bit run and it ended up being a bit of a Mob meeting with Freddy, Hans, Dereck, Hoppy and Grandmaster Poo Baa - Herby. You could see the storm clouds brewing on the coast which at times was pushing a reasonably strong NE'ster thru. Any way, we took adavntage of what was available, with Freddy taking the distance honours - he was just able to cruise in and out of the lulls with relative ease due in part to the larger volume under his feet. It was my first decent run on the dam and with Freedy borrowed 8.2 Diablo under my control we certainly made the most of some of the stronger gust's that came thru. I wanst aware how rough it was on the dam with not only a wind generated swell but cross wakes from boats going in different directions made for fast and precarious sailing at times. All up a cracker of a day with the family and Mob.

104 Screamer and Freddy's 8.2 Diablo - a big Thankyou mate.

Thanks Captn. Was a terrific day, especially now that I beat Freddy. That was close...Did I tell you that Im a big fan of real speed at the moment. But all due respects must go to Fred, who took advantage of everything that was available on the day.

If I could take this moment to wish every member of the Mob a safe Xmas / New Year period. It has been a pleasure over the past 12 months to have a chat and most importantly a laugh with a good number of you. To all the members further south and to those I havnt met, stay safe and have a cracker. Billy the Kid (although somewhat terribly middle aged now)
