One of the best sails i've had in ages!!! Loved it, and... no GPS again (intentional)!!
Sailed my wave kit again, Fanatic Twinser 84ltr, 5.3 Kult & 16.5cm MUF X-Twins. Normally in todays conditions would have sailed 6.6 koyote & isonic 86slim. If i had to guess i'd put my peak at 25-27kts, Alpha @ 20-22ish (radius of about 10m!!haha love wave boards) & distance easily over 100km.
actual session stats for pre Guy Cribb clinic practice:
approx 50 attempted duck gybes - 10ish completed & 3-4 came out planing
approx 50 attempted heli tacks - 0 completed.
approx 10 gybes completed & exited switch stance into attempted backwinded sailing
Had a ball today!! will be doing this more often.
Heaps of people on the water. All the holidayers are down, easily 40+ people on the water kites and windsurfers everywhere.

F2 SX MEd 105 Lessacher Speed Duo Weedie 28 Koncept 6.6
Great day at Invy with 25 plus windsurfers out. Pb for me on this board. Really felt good and comfortable(except for the chop) on this board first time in a long time. Too many names to list and too many smiles as well. Sailed the outer and inner bank. 2 sec peak achieved on the last run of the day just when I was going to pack it in.

JP 120l Xcite, 32cm JP Seaweed with Ka Kaos 4.7
Not a bad day, spent most on techniques, with getting my waterstarts done today - thanks to Pete Naz and Mick. One or two speed runs when the gusts died down.
Ended up with my hook through the bottom panel of the Kaos though... :(

Great day out at the inlet.. So many windsurfers, good to catch up with everyone.
KA Koyote 6.6, Starboard Hypersonic with Drake 440. Caught the last of the outgoing tide, and was also surprised to see the inlet to 'flat' at high tide, only had swells of about 1 foot. Switched over to JP Super Sport 100L with 33cm fin, couple of spin outs, so added some length with a 42cm fin. Finally got my board back from Antoine ;) and spent the rest of the day quite happy.
Low tide arrived, but the wind abated a litle, pity as it would have been a sweet day.
EDIT - Just noticed an alpha PB :) Also spent some time in preperation for the Guy Cribb days - today was working on entries to gybes... had a few where 'if only I'd flipped the rig' ! oh well, next time I'll get entries and foot swaps done :)

Well what a day. Inverloch certainly lived up to it reputation of providing perfect flat water sailing as the tide dropped and the sandbanks showed through.
With 21 windsurfers on the water at one time everyne was out to get their bit of actoin.
The ever changing currents and shifting sandbanks have produced a very nice new speed run in a south westerly wind. Launch from the beach just east of the jetty and head straight out along the main chanel. Hug the Western sandbank on an outgoing tide for a marble like ride. This oone being almost twice as long as the original run in front of the anglng club..
5 x 10 sec average of 26 Knots with peaks nearing 28 from an average breaze of 15 to 17 knots south wester.
I will certainly be back this season to have me some more of this run

DETAILS; Big drive up from Lakes this morning. On the water by 11am. A bit knackered today so I didnt go too hard.
At times I was underpowered on the 6.6 but on the stronger gusts it was great to run down the strip.
Got through on the 44 but as the water started to move on the outgoing tide , it became a bit dicey.
A few idiot kiters could have made the day a lot worse...dropping their kite on us but a few words from Ant moved them up the beach.

Oh yes - and great to see so many windsurfers out. I counted 23 at one point. What an amazing sight: pity I was wet and sandy, or I'd have taken a piccy.
