Hampton, VIC, AU, Breakwater to Beacon race. The distance would have been a GPS proven 6.5km each way. Nevertheless quite challenging getting to the gybemark in one tack upwind and then back all the way broad reach over very lumpy seas, a hell of a ride, my thigh is still burning. Elated that I've finally done it. Great to see such a good turn out, I'm back next year.

Hi George. Yes, probably half a dozen runs just to get my gear tuned (which didnt help anyway). See image. I also didn't make it in one run. Cry

Thanks Bondy, German efficiency Wink, BTW just looked at Jerzy's photos, I sailed the distance with the broken # 4 batten.

Obviously not German engineering though Juergen! Wink Looks windy in that picture.

I'm going to try and sail this afternoon (Tuesday) at Elwood for some much needed upwind training, if it fines up and we get a seabreeze. I'm following you next year Juergen Smile
