First sail with my  new billows carbon boom (200-260). Started off on Isonic 101 with 6.8. But it was very patchy. Changed to CA70 which got me planing just fine.

Then after 4.30pm it really started to pick up and had a good sail for last hour or so back on the Isonic. The sand islands were not really working, but I attemped a nautical mile run on the way back to Coal Point. The new boom felt very good indeed. Almost delivering a PB in fairly light conditions.

First day of the long weekend trip up to Hawks Nest.  Beautiful beach day, so made the most of it given the rainy forecast for the rest of the weekend.  Had some nice runs back and forth along the sand bank.  Good to catch up with everyone arriving, and everyone is very keen for the week of racing ahead.
