Adam (7212km): Peel Inlet, WA, AU Futura 121, 8.6 Evo 4 RS Racing, 50cm C3 Venom Went south for the informal gathering of windsurfers. Wanted to rig my 7.8 but had a tragedy unfold when I unrolled it for I think the first time since Ledge to Lano day, my sail number which was printed onto vinyl had melted in the bag and stuck itself to the sails graphics, when I unrolled the sail it tore the panel into lots of little strips. Upset I put the 7.0 up but nowhere near enough wind so swapped for the 8.6 which was actually perfect. Only got two if the races in but had fun anyway. Watching Elmo slam dunk Bender was pretty cool only to elmo himself at the platform and let bendy back through. Good to see a few guys I have not seen in a while.
Rod (2664km): Only had a short leave pass today so a few hours crusing around did a few runs down the bever nice arvo Safety Bay, WA, AU
STROPPO (3471km): Nice blast in the peel watched the mandurah drags from the shore as there was not enough wind for me with a 5.9 but i wished i was out there looked like some fun races with the big gear and a good turnout nice to see so many out blasting around i went out after when the wind picked up a little whent down to alphaland and Anita and Steve were having ago aswell good to get out after all weekend in the garden busting weeds nude 58 tr4 5.9 delta weedy 27 happy days
Tomski (6938km): Petit Point, Shark Bay WA
Reflex 5.6, Mistral 47, Delta 25
Drove all the way to the point in the hope that there would be enough water at high tide. Didn't quiet happen, but lots more wind up there. Very overpowered on 5.6m, square and shallow. Doing slingshots into the chop. Had a big off going for Nm, which smashed my confidence (and hurt, but no breakages). Lots of potential there on a southerly forecast for a Nm and a great spot to camp/fish. |
