iS97, 6.3RBlade, 35 S07 - Lammermoor Beach, QLD, AU SSE 23 - 30kn

Survival mode this afternoon just keeping board on the water.  High tide and shore break was massive with about 12 surfers out the front.  Managed to get out without any great difficulty and ocean state was at its extreme so made my way down to southern end of beach but it was just too gusty.  Got a couple of okay runs and had some hairy moments hitting some big swells launching me over the lip.  Had to do a slow downwind run home as I was pretty much overpowered.  If Burrum gets half this wind it'll be brilliant.  And oh, it was nice to see that big bright orange orb poke through the clouds - haven't seen that thing for about two weeks.
