Wow, Flat water. Great to catch up with the FNQ dregs at the Burrum clubhouse. Had a good easy sail so hopefully will get some performance increases during the week. Made a bad call on a gust and swapped the 6.6 for the 5.8 but wasn't powered up after that.Great fun though.

Great to back and tocatch up with a fabulous bunch of people. First time ever on a speed board so I was slightly apprehensive as to gear selection. Had the 7.0 rigged but learned advice was not to use anything bigger than a 6.3 with the speed board. Pfaffed around getting my shit together and eventually made it out . Wind was okay and I was surprised at how easy the speed board was to ride (i had worked myself up over nothing) although each time the wind dropped I found myself skunked and got towed back in by the boat at one stage. Probably would have done as well on the iS97 and 7.0 but just couldn't resist using a speedboard. Also very surprised at how easy it was to gybe when there was enough wind.
Looking forward to todayand beating Firiebob's arse.
