Almost pulled the pin on going for a sail as the conditions were just crazy.  A combination of high winds, high tide, and large ocean swell made launching through the shore break interesting.  No problems being powered up though - Keppel Bay sailing club showed a max peak of 40knots at 4.50pm and I see this correlates with me dumping the sail and sitting tight in the shore break for 5minutes waiting for the squall to pass.  Didn't get any better and could only point hard as bearing away just wasn't an option.  Made it all the way down the southern end of beach and decided that sailing home was going to be a disaster so got Rissole to come and pick me up.
