Chris Porter (8173km): Fun session at Peli Pt. I never would have thought that the first time I crack 30 knots at this spot would be in an easterly! Started on the easterly 'speed course' having a few runs with Stribo. My best Nm was done here with 2 gybes in it (doesn't say much for my straight line Nm attampt). This was all with my Naish SP91; Koncept 6.6 and Naish 32cm upright. The wind started to get a bit flukey, so I clicked on the Carve 131 and went for a cruise. Again, smoking combination with the CL 33cm slalom fin. Looks like I got a distance PB...just. Very sore and very happy!
nebbian (8209km): Afternoon sail all by my Pat Malone. Not surprising really given the state of the wind. Was trying out a new adjustable outhaul system, glad I did because it showed I needed the extra pulley to turn it from a 4:1 into an 8:1. It's so cool, bag out the sail to get planing, then reef it in to make it stabler... can't wait to try it out in some real wind
lao shi (27489km): Fun times in the land of the crab. Arrived at Hardies to see Bender out on his ping pong table and a 9m and feared the worst. But wind came in and rigged the 7.6 and thanks to Elmo had a 31cm JP freeride weedy to try. Top fin! First hour was a 19.5 with runs out to the sandbar and then it picked up. Well over powered for about 40 mins of the second hour attempt and feeling it today. Stopped a bit early so it could have been even better Great fun chasing Bender and Elmo around the estuary. Thanks again for the loan of the fin Elmo. Well done Chris on the distance PB. *brd W58, KA KRX 7.6, 31cmJP freeride weed. |
