Seahorse (2144km): Posted these results from memory - had them written down at Sandy Pt but left the piece of paper behind. The 5x10 may be a bit higher? Think the rest are right - will get my Navi out of the car tonight and double check. Great to be back at the pit after a 7 month drought of flat water!! Sailed first half of day on 7.6m Stealth and second half on 6.5m stealth. Whole day on iSonic 122 and swapped fin between 40cm drake (when doing distance and one hour) and 33cm Select Lightning when doing the faster stuff. Westerly day - great condions on the high tide for a couple of hours in which we got our one hour in - sailing all the way from Yanakie across the east bank to the speed strip - about 2NM each run - unusual for the pit. Good company again on the water with Kato unstoppable. If he'd got out of bed in the morning it could have been a 250 - 300 easy. Wind died away a bit in the afternoon and we all hung around waiting for SW front - it came - just at 7:30pm when we were eating dinner - would have been some fast times if it got there a couple of hours earlier!!! Hopefully this sees us get going up the leaderboard. Another session to follow for the 29th too - left my data file with the guys before driving back - SW conditions - just nothing spectacular - got my best run on 7.6m sail and 33cm fin - 33knot peak - big gear speed sailing - great to be back at the PIT!!!! |
