What a wild day at Wello got out at 11.30 sailed down to Lota Creek got me best Alpha using a 6.5 but wind soon got to much so I rigged me 5.8 went out into the wild chop but managed to get some flat water at the end of the bank amongst all the kiters Ha gave a few of them a fright as I passed them doing 30 + Kts dont know why they dont look whats comming. All the others were changing down sail sizes & going out on wave boards as the wind got up over 30kts with huge chop making it hard to do good speeds. I would like to see some of you 40kters at Wello to see how you go Ha Ha.

Wello with the others. Axxis 90L, Daytona 5.4, Select fin 29. Today was way to lumpy  and gusty for me. Especially trying to sail the Axxis. I did not make one gybe exept German, so I had a few hairy rides across the bay and got a bit of distance.  But mostly I was standing on the beach, waiting for the condition to get better. Unfortunately it never happened.  There is always tomorrow. At least I did not break any bones.

Choppy and weedy.  Well done Vando and Glynn.  I followed Vando down the course on one run - he was 5 knots quicker than me - just awesome.

Sailed over from Manly- the kites were just crazy they just don't LOOK. Bobbing around like slow moving mobile chicanes.

Very choppy conditions and lots of hard work. 

Naish Redline 5.6, Fs SX S/ Exocet Warp Speed, Venom 30 and Venom 26 - love the fins. Wind - Initially 20 knots - built to a solid 25+

Wow was it windy at wello!!

Unfortunately choppy as well. Felt very uncomfortable on the CA50. Then took out my 7 year old "bump and jump" Extreme and got only .6 knots less than the CA. Just goes to show how choppy it was.

Took a long run across to the other side of the Bay and snapped my mast after hitting a pile of weed. Drifting in the mangroves above Lotta Creek I was very lucky to get a ride back by the only boat in the Bay. Expensive Day

Wow what an awsome day i want more like that.

On the water about 11:30 for a low tide at Lota creek but tide wasnt low enough so back to wello for the incoming tide wind was really starting to howl had the 6.8 up but it keeped building so went back in rigged the 5.6 blade and IS49 venom 25. First run 39 10sec on the dial pretty stoked pb at wello and i think the quickest in QLD waters. Well done glynn on ya pb's mate

Down Lota ck but the tide not low enough. Tried Wello but tooooo many kiters floppin around on the only flat bit so after a couple of closies, gave it a miss and watched the others almost take heads off.....IT WILL HAPPEN ONE DAY!
