Tim Stockton (3894km): nice sail @ mandurah, sailed from about 2-6. started out on 5.8rsr/sxs but broke a battern early, had a go at fixing it, but in the end was able to borrow crashers 5.9 tr4. A Really big thank you to crasher for that. the tr4 is quiet a good sail- very smooth feeling and eas handling though less powerful/stable than the pryde. it felt a lot better with some tension on then bottom batterns as well (no battern tesnion to begin with as the sail was new). had some fun down in alpha land gybing the sx and seeing what speed it could do with the mid-size weedie. actually mangaed 30kts going crosswind during an alhpa that was within 25m proximity, so pretty happy. just need to work on my tecnique and can probably get the alpha to 25+ without to much trouble over summer(hopefully^^)
Claude Lecoq (22230km): Session at Peli point cruising around with Slowy, and later Ado and JC came out to play, moderate WSW wind. Isonic 86, 6.7, 32F1.
Chris Adamson (11668km): Little toddle about at Peli Point after work 6.30 through to 7.30ish. Was actually a fair bit windier than I thought it looked - I rigged the 7.5 Koncept on Manta 69 & Goldwing 37 thinking 15-18kn, but it was more like 18-22 according to the graphs, which makes me feel better about being pretty overpowered most of the time. This beats the festerly westerlies! |
