Down at Hardies for the prize draw - well done Ben and Joe [and all the lucky winners]!

Great little sail - the races out around the platform were fun - we should do more of that!

Used new KA Koncept 2009 6.6 all day - a lovely light handling focussed power unit this one!

Used Isonic 08 122 for the races and Tabou Manta 09 64 for the free sailing after!

new 35cm 45 degree weed fin on both - hit the hard stuff [rock] sailing back at one stage too!

Great fun day at Hardies today - and thanks to Hardie & Nebs for organising it. The races were particularly good fun.

Started out crusing around on the Manta 69 & Koncept 7.5 with a weedy, then stuck in the Goldwing 37 to give some extra oomph in the racing.

Had a few runs later on the Manta 49, with 5.8 Koncept and KA 23cm fin, with which I hit a rock, and broke it. You get that.

I guess the breeze was around 15 early and freshened up with a few puffs in the low 20's later.

Couldn't make it to Hardie's today - sounds like you guys had fun. Had late session on river where it was nice to some decent wind for a change. Very lumpy with power boats galore making it hard to get a nice long flat patch - still it was nice to be powered up on a 6.7m - first time this season !

Isonic 77, CR 6.7 and LE 32

greta sail at last for november, apparently the coldest in 40 oodd years..no wonder we have struggled for wind.

even so wind was ranging from 15 to 22 but mainly around the 18 mark i guess.

should of rigged bigger and put weight on ...ca 50 25 weedy drake brushcutter,(needs big repair) 5.8 koncept.

finding it hard to keep the fin cranking through the gybe for alphas it seems to really draw out the turn a recalc had half a dozen alphas 25plus at 55meters...good to be on the water again..in a seo. would really like to see 30 knots 1 day before i die realised i havent used my 4.4 for nearly 2 years and my 5.0 for almost a year...

can you delete tracks that are less then 2 knots or when you're changing rigs?

Nice to get back down to crabland and catch up with the crew. The fun races were... fun. Missed the first one when I was phaffing around rigging up. Used the 08 Koncept 7.5m and CA SL62 with KA 34 slalom fin for the races- weed wasnt really a factor out the back.

Did a few more runs on that setup then decided to try the 09 Koncept 6.6m, and CA SL55 which I just acquired. Did a couple of runs on a 28cm weed fin but then switched to the upright slalom KA 28. Very nice combo. Stayed out the back to avoid the rock and fin damage carnage that was happening closer in on the flats. Seemed to be getting good enough speed in the deep water "chop" with my fastest run in line with the big channel marker about where we were doing the races.

New Koncept is super stable and has loads of power. Cant wait to try the other ones. The SL55 is going to be a weapon in the ocean... fingers crossed fot a windy LOC.

Didnt bother with NM or give the 1 hour a proper go (was readjusting things a bit), but had a crack at some alphas. Got a nice one on the SL55.

All up a great day and well worth the drive for a moderate seabreeze. Good work SRM on catching up a few points in a very fast month over east.

Hi Nic,

The link that was posted on the front page of the GTC site for the past week had a big google earth map... sorry to hear you couldn't make it Frown

Regarding deleting points that are less than 2 knots, I don't bother.  Just turn your GPS on before you go sailing, and turn it off afterwards.  Don't worry about deleting that data, it normally doesn't affect things much at all (except maybe invalidate a 1 hour attempt).  You might get an extra 100m distance but in the scheme of things it's not worth the hassle.  Leave it in  Smile

Good work today guys, getting us up to third for November when we had been languishing a bit. This has been a very tough month, with crappy conditions in Perth, and incredible performances by our enemies sorry, competitors over east!

Wow - awesome numbers team !. Seems like Crab Land was the place to be instead of bouncing around on the river Cry can't wait for December to be a better month wind wise and to get out a bit more to contribute some decent sessions. Any chance of this event being held again this summer ??
