The local crew have just started to have a go at the alpha, great concept and gets you thinking about 50 metre proximity on the way out of the gybe. We have the perfect spot for Alpha on our local estuary which is often real flat, just have to weave in and out of the kites. I did this session on my bigger (48cm) homebuilt speed board , first time I've seriously tried anything on it except the usual blazing off down wind and it goes around corners great, being so small. Hopefully get another session on it this arvo, wind is starting already over here.
