what a day. I got a park in THE primo spot at Kyeemagh. Right next to a tap and right next to some nice grass. Rigged my 5.8 Koncept and hoped it would be enough as there were plenty of people on 6.3's and 6.5's. Turns out it was perfect for me and my trusty Falcon 90. Breeze was Nor East and blowing a good 12-20 at times. I worked my way up to the top of the runway and spent the next 3 odd hours just doing run after run after run on flatish water and then working my way back upwind to do it all again. Absolutely one of the best sails I have had for a long long time. Warm water, sunny and plenty of guys and gals out on the water. I lent Peter (wineman) my old foretrex so he could get some speeds and he jagged a 24.0 even on the dial. Unfortunately the batteries died soon after so until I can get some new ones that speed will have to do for him for now.

I'm hoping it blows again tomorrow as I'm counting down the days now till my knee reconstruction which will mean 6 months at least off the water.

Nice summers day sailing. Wind was gusty and picked up later in arvo. Hard to find much flat water so just tried to do some bear aways.

Heaps of w*****s on the water doing stupid crap like coming too close, showing off etc. Playing chicken with guys you dont trust is just plain dumb. Had a go at one or two but some people just dont care.

Falcon 111, 6.7 RS Racing Evo 1  36cm JP.

The usual Narrabeen Lake crap. Gusty, full of holes and sand banks that always seem to be in the wrong spots! 115 sType, Eagle 37Fin, NP V8 8mt. And yes Larko I know, no 30knts on the lake as yet. Talk to Sean, he got closer

Sanctuary Point Boat Ramp, NE 20 knots 25 gusts

JP Slalom 84, Loft O2 5.9, 30cm Select Viper fin

My first day at this spot and what a beauty! Lovely warm seabreeze, sunny blue sky and finally an official 30 knots! I'm glad the gps didn't bugger up this time. The display is still blank, so I didn't know my speed until I was back in the car and popped the sd card into my pda. It was a great 4 hour cure for a horrific xmas hangover. I couldn't face any food at all that day and my tank was definitely empty halfway through the session - particularly the short runs in the shallows going for alphas. De-rigging was the most excrutiating experience I had had for a long time - yet I was buzzing the whole time from the great Boxing Day session!

Congrats on the 32 dude.

Too much stuff on at the moment for the day trip to Kyeemagh but soon. Had a fun sail at the pond but only managed a 30.4 on the dial amongst all the w*****s. Bloody dangerous at times!!

You should re-schedule the op for March, then the 6 months wll be all crap weather and cold.

Hope all goes well with your knee recon Andrew I have to have mine replaced in Febuary, so I know how you feel. I already have a 33 year old hip replacement, so with all the extra weight I might have to have a garage sale of windsurfer gear ...... Good luck.

Thanks Larko, twas a sweet day. Already rescheduled the op once so I think I better get it done now while I can. So long as I have 2 good weeks of sailing till then I'll be a happy boy.

Michael, the new "machine" for the cockies. That's frigging great distance for the conditions.

Congrats.

Its a pity we dont get conditions like the Pit Crew. They get "average" conditions and do an easy 35 knots.

Oh, bugger!!Foot in mouth
