Sean Dayhew (6875km): hypersonic 105, sailworks nx4 6.6, drake 32 narrabeen lake, 12-25knots NE
Michael Thomson (21372km): Kyeemagh, NE 18-25 gusts over 30 Boards: Starboard S-Type 126, JP Slalom 84 Sails: Loft O2 7.4, Loft O2 5.9, NP Alpha 4.7, Fins: 40cm Curtis, 30cm Select Viper It was an early seabreeze that kicked in 2-3 hours early around 10am. It just kept building during the day to around 25 knots with stronger gusts around 30. I've never used so much gear in one day: 2 boards and 3 sails. Sooo much time wasted changing kit. The 1 hour division (highlighted below) was on the JP Slalom 84, with the Loft O2 5.9. I would have loved to have stayed on that combo for the rest of the afternoon, but the breeze just kept building. No real bearaways today for speed runs, the water was quite choppy and confused. The area in behind the floating booms did give some smooth water for gybing just off the beach. Absolutely stoked with todays session - but a bit sore too! It was great to see so many guys out today - looking forward to some more posts soon.
Peter (Wineman) (1800km): Another very short session (gardeners knee!!) .....but At least I cracked the 25 knots Big N/Easter....& it's on again tomorrow
Boss Man (6469km): Kyeemagh NE 20-30 knots. Naish Speed Pro 60 Neil Pryde RS Racing 6.2 Tectonics F1 28. What a washing machine !!!! Hard staying on the water and not going into orbit.
Tim Ford (6467km): A great day on the water, started with the Maui Sails Global 5.8 with my JP SS 118. Martin then lent me his Starboard Free 62 (pre 2000) board, the smallest board I have ever been on and my first time on a sinker (first time on a 95 l 2 weeks ago). Managed to jibe it four times in a row in the red rocked which was very pleasing. Switched to a 4.7 Combat later in the day and was still well powered, that is when I got my fastest speed. Loved it!
Larko (3629km): Good but frustrating day. Pretty windy so went out on JP Supersport 58 (91 ltr). Started to get some runs then the head of my HPL carbon boom snapped. Bit of a swim and long walk back. Left sail up on point to get spare boom and change boards as wind had gone its usual gusty thing so didnt get much distance in. Got some good runs but the wind just got worse and went all squirelly. Just some good gusts. Saw Seano do his bird man impersonation, wicked catapult!! JP Supersport 58 and Falcon 111 with 6.7 RSR Evo 1, 36cm JP slalom. |
