5822 days ago 2 categories Well finally I've managed to get out with Dad and Alex (who hasn't really sailed for a couple years) together... nice day out sailing although conditions were nothing special. Headed out first with Alex and he first rigged the 7.0m Gaastra GTX with his Naish Supercross 114L but soon changed to Dads 158L JP freeride once he found out how out of touch he was from not sailing!!! He pulled up pretty quick unfortunately because his wetsuit was too small and made his arms tire quickly so passed over the gear to Dad and he had his session...
So not a massive day for me as I was spending time with Alex helping him out where ever possible and waiting to have a chat at each end lol, but still very enjoyable. I obviously used my Starboard S-type 93Lwith the awesome 6.6 KA Koncept (which are exact matching colours I might add ha ha!!!) and didn't go too badly. Pulled off a lot of gybes today, getting much better at them. Unfortunately though the conditions weren't really strong so couldn't get planning fast enough out the other side to get a better alpha score, but just good to get some practice for when the conditions are there!
Below are Dads, Alex's and my GPS tracks for the day: While Alex and I were out Dad took a few photos of us together which I should put up soon on seabreeze...
Cheers Bubs
