5723 days ago nice day at peli. Did a couple of runs on 6.6m/SP50/CL27s then went for a burn on the SP60/7.5m/CL33s... massive gust came through on the first run and just about backslammed me, so I went for some speed action on the big stuff. Hit 36.5kts just before slamming into a large island of floating algae. Stopped me pretty much dead and I went flying. Fortunately my harness completely disintegrated and I landed clear on my back, with a bit of whiplash action as my head continued and slapped the water hard. Ouch. Still walking though. Tried to use my old "waist" harness, which turned out to be a booby harness. It was unusable. Then I scrounged one off Jesper (kind soul he is) and got back into action just as the best of it had passed. Well at least Claude didnt waste any of it :) It came back in strong enough to get some good runs on the SP44/6.6m/CL24s. Then after I packed up all the small stuff I decided I should go out again after deciding not to. So back out for some sunset runs with SteveM on the 7.5m... well powered at times... Great fun day!

5722 days ago nice day down at mandurah, with just enough wind to dust off the 5.0 :D
got on th water about 12:30, and immediately went downwind to check out the backup run incase the wind went crazy (it didnt). The run down there looks insane for and strong southerly storms... absolute glass behind it even a reasonable distance from the bank.. just gota watch the water depth at the end of the run... was ~25-50cm deep in parts today.. Anyways after an hour or so gettting back to the normal run, went for a bit of speed, got a 38 and a string of 36/37's, then managed a 39.1 after a short break. was very happy with this run as the extra speed seemed to come from actually getting the board/fin/sail trim right, instead of getting a strong gust.. now to figure out how to hold the trim steady for more than 2sec XD. (also, i have points 38.994, 39.13, 38.13.... im guessing gpsar would give the 2sec ~ 39.05.)
Came in for a break about the time elmo arrived, then went out again as the wind seemed to be building. got a great gust and was going about 37ish as i went past the first post, but then i managed to overload then fin (too lazy to move masttrack, so was going for finpressure to hold the board trim) and had perhaps my weirdest stack yet... managed to spinout, fall off the board, get dragged along for about 5m as the rig kept sailing,m dragging me upside down along with it, then got catapulted for a nice lil backfilp completely over the rig.... Also managed to break the harness line with my ribs... which was weird as the shitty dakine lines usually slip through the adjustors... oh well. Called it quits after that is i cbf getting new lines on and was a lil bit sore...
p.s. sorry hardie should give you a go on my gear next time
