What a run! I was 50m behind Chris but looks like I got the best gust on that run!

PB's for 2 sec, 10 sec (45.254), 100m (45.785), 250m (45.229), 500m (44.333).

That was my third run. Couldn't back it up as the wind was easing so no 5 x 10 sec PB.

CA40, KA 20 assy fin, 2009 4.4m KA Koncept (felt fantastic!!).

Also has some  runs on 5m later and Starboard iSonic 50 with TM50 but kept catching bits of weed.

At least I had no big get off's today.

A few PBs from the team today. Some fairly happy chappies! Many thanks to Mat for once again taking time to help me fine tune my gear. A great day at the pit - even had sun for much of the day.

 Another early start, John and I arrived at 6.30 to find the road too flooded to get in so it was to the car park to wait for a few hours. The SA invasion arrived very soon after and soon there was a Melbourne sized traffic jamb at the entrance. A few brave souls drove through the water to get in early. Don,t buy Landcruiser,Land Rover, Ford and a Suzuki Swift that was well and truely salt washed the night high tide. Got in , rigged up 5 and 5.8 good wind and tide, lots of mad keen sailors everywhere. 1st run down, sheet out explore the run ,set the line, crap its realy windy, forgot to switch the Garmin on, so no idea what the speed was (Real speed had it at 38.2) Second run down sheeted in 41.9 its going to be a good day Sailed back and my forearms had blown up after two runs ,CRAP  I spent the next hour trying to get some strength back into my arms and missed most of the best wind. Got back on the water and started to dial into some very nice numbers. A bit too south for my liking but it made it easy to sail back to the car park. Carn,t be too disapointed, its be a while since the Crew did a few Pb,s in a session

Well done Daffy! And for me - holy crapoly that was one quick run and it felt sweeeeet! I think PB's for speed and distance today! New 5.0 Koncept very slippery.

Sunny and fun. Can't wait for a day where that wind lasts more than an hour!

An interesting day and I learnt alot. Some of the Boys were on fire, well done Daffy and Spotty.

First lesson- I am no where near fit enough, I felt very old today. It,s really holding me back.

Second lesson- This week I am replacing the cleat on my boom that keeps slipping

Third lesson- 20 cm fin too small for that board unless it,s 4.4 weather

Final lesson- Launching into a 6ft high table top at 40+  knots is not a great idea.

My second run, took off and my bloody outhaul slipped right out again, sail wrapped around the boom. Kept. going, way overpowered and no stability. 30 knots, 40 knots, I am only half sheeted in ,no mast foot pressure. 40.8 knots  LIFTOFF!!!!.The boys said I was 5-6ft in the air. I hung on an let go just before entry.Straight on my arse with my feet out in front of me. Very glad for a steamer and seat harness or I would be in the next series of the Soprano's

All in all a fun day and I can definitely go faster.

Well - a great day at the pit.  Much anticipation & great to see so many from so far away show up.  Wasted no time on rigging today - smallest of everything I have - 5.5m Stealth, iSonic 50, TM45v7 fin.  Didn't need to change all day - except a few settings.  Had been so loonng since I'd sailed the little 50 at full speed that I didn't really feel right early in the session but things just got better and better.  I was sooo  hoping for a PB today - so close too.  Missed out by 0.06 knots on a 5x10 pb!!!  I just knew I needed one more good run over 41 knots and I'd nail it.  For the life of me I just could quite get there - nothing left in the tank though - I could barely walk when I got off the water.  Big highlights today were seeing Spotty, Daffy, Slowy and others fully grimacing as they sailed the course at max speed - certainly focussed on the big runs AND of course I was 20 metres away when Martin did his 40 knot table top!!!!  SPECTACULAR - glad he came up dazed but ok - certainly time to fix that outhaul cleat Mr Love!

No PB - well I guess I'll just have to try again - looking forward to the next big Sou-Wester!!
