Kurnell 0 - 30 knots West. Wicked!!! Got there at 8 and kicked off early. 2 runs with a the 6.5 and then had to change.

JP FSW 92 Pro, NP Combat 5.3 JP SX 30 fin.

First real session in some good wind on the new board and loved it. Good fun, even got some really nice gybes around.

 Grrrr

JP Slalom V60, KA Koncept 5.8, Goldwing 32cm. Went to Narabeen Lake to catch the westerly. Spent most of the time standing in the water waiting for the gusts to come. When I did get going I didnt manage to catch any decent gusts.

Demo'ed the new JP Slalom from Sam. Feels a lot more composed than the JP Slalom III.

Kurnell, WNW -> WSW, 5-30 knots

Starboard S-Type 104, Loft O2 5.9, 30cm Select Viper fin

I finally got to take the new 104 S-Type out, and it was the ideal day for it. Bumpy, gusty with loads of holes, but the 104 litres could happily slog home in 5 knots. I had to sit out some of the stronger moments, 5.9 is just too big for me in 30 knot gusts.

Stoked to get a pb on the first day out with the new board! Yup, Dave, it was that gybe. almost one knot faster than my others. I only just scraped in the 50m though!

Excellent work Tim/Mike, really enjoyed sitting in the sun and watching you guys play today. Great distance for you both, must have sore joints after absorbing all that chop for 60 odd k's.

Tim you look really settled on the FSW/SSfin - sweet combo. Your gybes look good too. You seemed to making more than you fluffed and in todays conditions at Kurnell thats was no mean feat - although I must say that crash was a 10/10!! a real orifice flusher!!!

Mike you looked faster on the water than your time suggested, but with all that bump and first outing on a new board a great result and that gybe was gold.

And to all the other cockies that got out well done.

Murphy's Law Ricardo!!!!

Stand around long enough when nothings happening and you miss it. Flu and chronic tennis elbow = no energy. Girly sail for me.

29.8 display on JP Pro V 60, RSRacing 6.2, JP 34cm. woeful!!!!!!!
