Wicked fun morning sesh at Melville Beach in 15 - 20 with the odd puff up to 25ish. Manta 49, 5.8 Koncept and KA 23 sym. There was no flat water so best speeds were out in the middle over the back of the swells.

It was picking up nicely as I left so I expect much better speeds from my team mates later today Wink

A quick blast at Melville before duty called. First sail in about 3 months so a little rusty and running new board and sail combo so that's may excuse for poor speeds! wind around 20 gusting to 25 and the old bullet.

Must have just missed you Ado and Stringer.

Good to get wet.

IS 86 CR 6.5 (09) and LE 32

A short grind at Melville in extreme chop from about 1.30 pm. Very gusty probably 15 to 35+.

Rigged 5.0 for the gusts, mostly too small, but sometimes too large. Need to try different [softer] masts with this sail - felt stiff and twitchy with powerex wave 4.00m but when you use it once a year for the last 3 it's hard to tune it up!

A difficult day - well done to all who went fast - well done SRMers who lasted hours - particularly Stringer on the big day!

Koncept 5.0 07, SXS 08, Falcon30/Choco 28 -

challenging day at melville should of/could of been on the 4.4,

went with the 40 first up to try one of slowys new daggers but the holes in the wind made it difficult.

came in and switched to the 50 with a venom 30 and hit the water just as the wind picked up and started to steady.

sailed for about an hr totally overpowered with the 5.0 (first time with this combo) and struggled with too much volume thru the confused chop. before giving it away to go and watch the mighty eagles hammer the hawks!
