Well a great day on the water even if I was rather rusty in the sailing skills department. Totally out of control with the 5.8 RS4 and reverted to the titan 126 since I had forgotton how to sail a short boardEmbarassed.

Great to see Martin at Island Bay! (even if he did sail away from me!)

Excellent work guys!  Impressive NM there Chris!  But no luck with any alphas?  Even with a board change at the gybe end it might count!  I'm still waiting for a gust of wind here... my boss is away for the next two weeks... maybe I'll get out!

Thanks guys. All best speeds were acually done on the big board, titan 126, with a 39cm JP freeride fin. (but I still managed to fall off on every gibe)

I think I have to look around for another more user friendly (read as "suits unskilled older person") lower volume board since the poor old W58 Starboard, bought for the higher winds, looks unrepairable. What do you guys think of a hypersonic 105 (I was thinking of the chop)

@Martin - I was sure you had the better speed since on the starboard tack you were definitely higher and faster. We will do it again - just look for a tide  0.3 or lower and a screaming westerly.

@ The team Captain (aka Craig) - I might have another person interested in joining the team. I will also take the laptop/modem down next time and show the rest of the guys what it is about. Looking at coming down your way in October for  work combined with a holiday so we will see what pans out.
