I kept sailing after Rudi had given up in disgust and the wind steadied and the water got flatter as the tide dropped.I had a good sail for the last hour.  105 exocet 6.8 north ram 35 select

Astrid I have a cut on my foot from that fishing line you stole off that little toddler.

Gusty as it gets at Golden pond, rigged the 6.2 thinking it was getting stronger but it didn't and I was too lazy to rig the 7.5. Came good for the last half hour and I got a lucky gust. 0-15knts. Futura 111, RSR evo 6.2, 38cm drake.

Well done on the pbs Astrid, how are the legs feeling?

Thanks guys.  Definitely paid off driving up to the lake.  It was the most consistent wind I have seen for a very long time.

Got ice on the ankle now though.  Thought about not going for distance as after the first hour the bottom of my left foot was really sore when it was in the back strap so all my runs on starboard tack were very slow with just my toes resting in the strap.  Think I could have gotten a better 1hr if I had been able to push in both directions.

Think the ankle talus bone is ok, it is just bruising to my foot from the crash yesterday.

Now also have a gash in my right shin from the fin on the very last run back in at 70 nautical miles but happy to have got 2 PB'sCool

Mammoth effort Kellie - congrats.  It's been a good week for you - that's always the way it seems to happen though, nothing for a long time then you nail it all at once .  Rest that weary bod as you've got a few more PB's to get this week. Wink

So everyone tells me Ulf, i just haven't scored one yet. Hope the ankle comes good Kellie, those long runs start to hurt my bad ankle but the Futura doesn't hammer it as bad as the Screamer used too.
