5527 days ago 2 categories Big day at SW Rocks. Southerly change came through and the wind started blowing directly off shore. Gusty wind that kept getting stronger and stronger. Had my bigger gear rigged from yesterday and used it again. Not the most comfortable of sails because if anything went wrong then it was to be straight out to sea with the next stop at Coffs Harbour if I was lucky. 2 runs across the bay were enough for me.
Used my Tabou Rocket 140, Select 35cm fin and Loft 02 7.4. The 02 handled the gusts very well, they were coming through well over 20 knts.

5527 days ago Queens Lake. Yes !!!!. Achieved a goal of mine today of 35 knots so totally stoked. Wind was very gusty from the S-Sw at 5-25 knots.
Water was very flat so just had to line up gust and bear away, with no chop to worry about. Used F2 sx 105, Gaastra 7.0m Gtx ,JP 31cm weed fin.

5525 days ago Sailed South West Rocks in a Rockin Southerly with Karl on Wednesday. Heaps of sunshine and warm water. Started out on my 111 iSonic with a 36cm fin and my 7.3 Daytona. Was pretty hard core ripping across the bay in an offshore wind, but was loads of fun. As Karl said, the wind got stronger and stronger and in those off shore conditions I wanted to be riding kit that I felt very at home and comfortable with, so I went back out on my 92 ltr Syncro (left the S-Type at home unfortunately) and my 5.7 Voodoo. Was a really good choice of kit and the set up was prefect. Not the fastest kit, but loads of fun to sail and gear that I trust. Great day to be on the water and a great week to be away, can't wait for more wind and more trips. Big thumbs up and thanks to Karl, Steve and Mark.
Well done and massive congrats Steve on your PB. You have set the bar very high for the rest of us Double Demerits
