Steve Charles (7892km): Left Sandy Bay beach at 7am, Dave was out at 5am. Tacked up wind for 2.5 hours through the crapiest roughest chop. Finally caught up with Dave off Opossom Bay. I was feeling knackered and told Dave that was as far as I could go. Dave frowned at me and told me to get my arse up wind into the flatter stuff so we could do a good 1Hr. I left Dave at 12pm and he had already sailed 200km and is planning on 400plus. Isonic 86SL with Select Casper 31cm fin and 5.9 Code Red.
Richard CS (746km): Sailing at Swan point up the Tamar River Was quit windy and a bit choppy/gusty which made it difficult. I was in the handicap division as was using a wave sail (5M combat wave)!!
| ||||||||||||||||||
Izaak Perkins (16458km): sailed in the Tamar in the morning with a few guys and got my fastest 2sec/5x10 there,then came back home to find another crew of guys out so headed back out again to get the rest of my numbers.Richard we saw you sailing but we decided to stay up the river where it was flatter a tad.... well done on the brilliant pb's Steve cant wait too see Dave's when ever he comes in

Anthony Perkins (11326km): not a great day for me today just couldn't get it all going,well done Steve thats a cup winning effort.
Jordan Murray (8003km): Decent sail out in front of home for me. Really hard work at times belting through the chop but the sonic just ate it all up Real Tired Now!

Dave Morehead (9367km): Long day. On the water at 5:20am and off the water at 7:45pm with two short stops. Quite windy all day (20+ knots). Sailed Starboard 2010 iSonic 94, Severne Code Red 6.5 and C3 Venom 36cm for most of the day (first 380 km). Then changed to the iSonic 122 to make life a little easier, which it did!! Really happy with the 1 hr PB and feeling the effects of the distance right now!! I got to 436 km and decided to keep going to make the 500 mark. Well done Steve for your 1 hr and distance PBs!!
Jason (2226km): Well done team we have finally won a cup. Great effort on your part Dave, 500km is a hell of a long way, what's next??? |
