93 Ltr S-Type with Daytona 6.6. Not a very good session at all. Was windy when I hit the water and used all that wind to climb upwind to the control tower. Once I made it up there the wind just died. I have been caught out before having to slog back down with no wind, so I bailed and headed back. Had a couple more runs and then packed it in. Naturally, the wind wind filled in really nicely. Oh well....

This was a great sail on Botany (Kyeemah) with JP FSW 92(09), NP Hellcat 6.2 and Select 32cm SRide. 20-25 knots and quite bumpy. Wind was a bit up and down, but overall good.

Hi Jon,

 

The weather was a bit strange yesterday. I had an early mark from work and headed down to Narrabeen Lake. It was windy when I arrived then a huge cloud moved overhead and that was that. Still a bit windy but really didn't seem enough to make it worthwhile.

 

Maybe this weekend it will be better.

 

Good reading about your sailing on Port Phillip. Crazy conditions for a GPS session from the sound of it.

No worries Karl. I just wanted to get into the challenge, but hope I can contribute to results. Certainly I can;t compete with the high 30s some teams are getting!!

I am having trouble getting my file out of my GPS for Tuesday which should be similar to this session. I upgraded the firmware, and now Easy GPS pulls out all track points with the same time reference. Will try some different software.
