Day 1 of our sandy point family holiday .Scored a lovely 18-22knot NE & a low tide at 3pm so perfect arrival conditions.

Ran the 7.8 RSS mk2 Venom 38 Naish 95 sp & had a ball

Tried the Isonic 50 late in the session but only fractionally faster

Great to be on flat water again with some decent breeze ...YEH !!!

Great to catch up with everyone at the dam. Shame im outta shape and this is all i could manage.

Good SE wind on dam today....A bit of rain but plenty of sailors.      6.6m and 105l Screamer....On water for 110 minutes.

Most of todays session was 6.5 Infinity and 120l S/Cross.    ...Towards end I came in and changed to 90l RRD/AHD but no better speed and more time in water.....Good for us to meet up with the Coasties.

Worh the drive up to the Dam. Good wind ( for up here) most of the day and great to meet up with some of the FNQ Mob.

Started on the Naish 120, 6.0 Ezzy and 36Naish Freeride. Best speed on this early in the day (before many of the others turned up) Changed up to 7.0 Ezzy later in the day and then a Select 40 at the end.

Trolleyed my big board across the road, launched in front of the Hilton after some period of indecision with the wind so up and down.

Made my way down the Harbour regretting my decision, but thought make the best of it and there were some great runs. The wind began to ease and I started to make my way up wind, but then totally grovelled, so headed for the mudbanks in front of the Esplanade. Had 1 good gust and made it most of the way in and then sailed the board across the top of the mud 5 metres short of the sand, went up to my thighs struggling till the sand. Got some exercise, anyway.

Rainy squally up & down day on the dam, but man what a great day, 8 FNQ'ers up there and a 2sec Pb for me for there, nice beer after with friends  This was my first sail in about two months, about bloody time 

Futura 111L, 42cm Venom & 7.8 Loft Switchblade. I so wanted to use my Carbon Art but there was so many big lulls I would have spent too much time in the water.

Fun day at the dam sailing with team tinaroo and a few coastal mugs, me included,

decided to give the captin one knot today since he hasent sailed much lately.
