Madness, rigged up as the buster was coing in. Insane, 4 runs was enough more time standing waiting for lulls than sailing.

fingers crossed for tomorrow.

St George Sailing Club  SSE  30 - 44 Knots.

Naish Speed Pro 60  Neil Pryde RS6 5.4  Tectonics Falcon 26.

Getting bashed up with Conan, very choppy. Tide was just starting to look good at 5.30pm.

Wayne and I decided it was a little too close to feeding time so we called it a day.

Dont you hate when you have shitty harness lines that blow in the breeze and it takes you 100 meters to get hooked in.

Thats if you do get hooked in.

a quick session at Sandringham. Didn't hit the water till 7:15, too busy putting my trail bike back together!

Rick ya big wuss, what feeding time??? Plenty of daylight left at 7:30 mate Tongue out Sharks don't get hungry till 8:30 at least!!

Only got a quick 45 mins in before the breeze dropped riiiiight off. Thought I was going to have to swim till I got a little puff that bought me back within almost standing depth. Too late for the speedbank so best speed was just in between chop troughs. A pretty good fun sail actually Smile

Drops 8'10", Koncept 5.0, Goldwing 29.

Craziness in the Southerly.  Was gusting up to 45 knts when I arrived.  Waited out the worst of it but was still 30knts plus when I ventured out with my 5.8m North Natural downhauled to buggery.  Should have packed my 4.9m sail but just didn't think the wind was going to come thruogh like that.

Some wild rides skating on the tail of the board over the chop.  No chance for come good speeds but surprisingly, really good fun anyway.

Yeah,

the weather today was amazing. So hot and then the wind came.....

We were up at Brisbane Waters and it was as hot as hell. A line of wind came across the water and bloody hell it blew. Too much for me so I didn't go out.

Maybe tomorrow the wind will moderate a bit for mere mortals.

Well done Tim. lots of guys turned up at Lake Dangerous hoping it would go SE but it was horrible. Dead onshore, gsuting to over 30? at times and just bad. few guys got a run straight down the shore then struggled to get back. Johnny and Ads were doing OK, rang the airport and was greeted with 35-50 knots. Dont have gear that small.

Hope for tomorrow morning???????

well tim you should have come down to the speed run off st george sailing club . we sailed out of taren pt ,other side of the bridge , tide was not low enough for the sandbar to come out of the water so it was choppy , but 2 hours of extreme sailing was exilarating, just waiting for rick "aka bossman" to download my gps unit hopefully it will work , iknow he got 39kts plus not sure what i got .
