Naish SP105, 7.0 Redline, 40 C3 Venom.
Great day at the local with Martin,John and Mike from round the corner. Took a while to get going (probably gun shy after last week epic stack) but really got to grips with pushing the board upwind.
Will get John's GPS online this week.

Yeah Ben - Apparently used for dummy bomb drops years ago. Directly North of said mark is Hobsonville Air base which is home to the SAS. North west is Whenuapai air base and directly east on the point with the wharf is the main ammo dump for the armed services.

NZ tax dollars at work Wink

Good effort guys! Very close results at island bay.

Nice image with all of the markers, how do you do it, overlay a chart file?

Hi Craig

I use GPSResults www.gps-speed.com - it has an option to display tracks as a GoogleEarth overlay; from GoogleEarth "file" "save" "save image" gives a jpg that can be uploaded here ... (the default GoogleEarth "path" is a little thick at 3, but can be reduced in path properties)

The rest of the labels are set up in GoogleEarth: Chris sent me some (- the bomb markers!) - the channel markers were put in, in conjunction with chart NZ5323 Auckland Hrb West (http://www.linz.govt.nz/hydro/charts/nz202-chart-catalogue/index.aspx) by working out the lat/long - pole markers often show, at least the shadows do, if you zoom in on the satellite photos!

Hey, now - GT-31 can handle "waypoints"; GPSResults can load up "gates" - so could the markers (and anything else) get loaded straight from a file of lat/longs?
